    Your responsibilities.

  • Evidence based client consultations. 

  • Undertake intake assessments using the bio-psychosocial and initial assessment tools. 

  • Deliver ongoing evidence-based interventions to consumers and their families as defined by the needs determined in the initial assessment.

  • Advocate on behalf of consumers with other clinicians, schools, employers, etc. to enhance interventions and the well-being of the client.

  • Develop, review, and close treatment plans in partnership with the consumers and their identified supports.

  • Assess, monitor, and manage the client’s mental health and wellbeing (including physical health concerns) and risks; and collaborate with other health professionals, partner organizations and stakeholders as required. 

  • Administer and facilitate psychometric testing as clinically indicated.

  • Work within Clarity Health Care’s framework of early intervention, assertive treatment, stigmatization, diversity, inclusion, and non-discrimination.

  • Participate in regular clinical supervision and line management discussions with your manager.

  • Identify and take an active role in quality and service improvement activities. 

  • Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise through a commitment to professional development and active learning within the team. 

  • Write reports as required for internal/external use i.e., assessment formulation, incident reports, funding body reports, and court hearings.

The role requirements.

  • Current AHPRA registration as a psychologist.

  • A Medicare-eligible provider.

  • Demonstrated experience in undertaking comprehensive mental health assessments and development of intervention plans in collaboration with consumers and their families and carers.

  • Demonstrated skills and experience in providing holistic, evidence-based therapeutic services.

  • Understanding of the biological, psychological, and social underpinnings of mental health.

  • Ability to work with autonomy and as an integral member of an established multidisciplinary team.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including familiarity with multiple computer programs, and the ability to produce well-written reports.

  • A current driver's license.
