Parwana is our Clinical Director and Psychologist & Family Therapist. She believes that the foundation to any therapeutic experience, is a safe relationship fostered via collaboration, mutual respect, and authenticity. Parwana has extensive experience working with individuals and families across the lifespan.
Parwana works from an attachment based and trauma informed lens and gives weight to the impact of early childhood experiences on one’s psychological development. Parwana has a special interest in working with a range of mood & anxiety disorders, interpersonal difficulties, grief, life transitions and adverse childhood experiences with a special interest in PTSD and Complex PTSD.
Parwana prides herself on her compassionate, emotion-focused and psycho-dynamic approach. She also has extensive training in Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and a range of evidence-based family therapy modalities.
Parwana has held various clinical and leading positions across acute mental health, psychotherapeutic and wholistic therapeutic teams.
