Psychologist, Kingston Tasmania
I use evidence-based therapeutic approaches with a strengths-based focus to work towards realistic and empowering goals, whilst scaffolding clients to improve their overall wellbeing. I am always keen to learn, and I enjoy not only learning from professional development, but also from my clients. I thrive on working with individuals, couples, and families to compassionately help them understand difficulties in their world (e.g., change in family dynamics, chronic illness, loss, stress), the effect it is having on them and others, and how they can work through, reframe, and/or accept this to live a content and wholesome life.
My therapeutic style is friendly, relaxed, and empathic, and I bring dedication and genuineness into each session. I enjoy working collaboratively with you to help you reach your goals and learn new skills, whilst empowering you with a strengths-based future-focus. I often like to use analogies, diagrams, and practical easy-to-understand tools to complement therapeutic approaches.
