Preferred Pronouns:

Years Practicing: 10

I offer a client-centred, strengths-based approach that acknowledges that therapy is a vulnerable space for clients.

Psychologist Kingston

I have great respect for the capacity of humans to survive even in the most adverse conditions. I believe that everyone tries to do their best with the resources, skills, and abilities that they have. Equally there are often constraints imposed upon us through our biology, early life  environment, or through other life experiences, which shape our current functioning and the level of distress that we might experience. As a psychologist, I consider it a privilege and responsibility that people come in to work with me and to try and gain insight, awareness, and possibly some new skills and strategies which might help them function better, reduce their distress, and support them to thrive.  My approach to working with individuals, couples, or families is highly individualised, and is based on what is likely to achieve the best outcome for the people I work with. I also respect the intelligence, insight, and agency of the people I work with, and consider therapy a collaborative process.
