Kingston Psychologist Tasmania
I am a warm and non-judgemental person who believes therapy not only helps us navigate challenges, but also has the potential of improving our lives by helping us move closer to the person we want to be.
I use a humanistic approach and a variety of strategies from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other evidence-based therapies (such as CBT, DBT) to facilitate emotional awareness, recognise strengths, exercise self-confidence and practise behaviours aligned with our values and goals.
I acknowledge that everyone has the right to open up at their own pace and make changes in a manner they feel comfortable with. I believe feedback is essential to accommodating therapy to the client’s needs and recognising and celebrating therapeutic progress.
Young clients are welcome to express their feelings through artistic expressions (music, drawing, poetry, etc) in addition to, and even instead of, talking.
