For me, mental health means trying to gain a better understanding of myself so I can live a happier and more balanced life. It means learning how to deal with the ebbs and flows of my mental health in productive ways, so their negative impact is reduced and I can feel more in control when things externally feel out of control. It has also meant learning to be compassionate with myself and treating myself more kindly when things seem hard.

I bring this approach to my work with clients as I believe understanding ourselves is a process that empowers us and helps us to feel more in tune with ourselves. Gaining a deeper understanding of how we work can be a tricky process, as it can mean talking and thinking about things that might feel pretty uncomfortable. For this reason, I always do my best to create a safe and non-judgmental space to explore tricky subjects, at a pace that suits you.
