Hi, I’m Miro (he/they), a Registered Psychologist based in nipaluna/Hobart. I work with teenagers and young people aged 15 years and above, adults, and elder members of our community. I have experience supporting people across a range of presentations and concerns, with a particular interest in supporting survivors of trauma. I practice from a trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming and anti-oppressive lens, recognising that each person’s experiences, identities and strengths shape the way they move through the world. I aim to provide a space where people feel respected, heard and supported to explore what matters most to them.
As an openly out member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am passionate about creating an affirming and inclusive environment for people of all identities and backgrounds. I welcome and support clients exploring gender identity, sexuality, relationships, diverse bodies and experiences, including navigating coming out, understanding identity, managing the impacts of discrimination or abuse, and strengthening relationships with family, friends and workplaces. I am available to see clients under a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan, private health funding, and NDIS (Self-Managed and Plan-Managed funding).
I am familiar with Japanese, German and Dutch cultures, and can speak these languages conversationally (although I cannot offer sessions in them).
