Hello there, my name is Katie and I’m part of the awesome team at Clarity Health Care (CHC) in a hybridised role as a Trans-Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Technician and Business Developer (BD).  I recognise, as multi-cellular beings with conscious, wonderful and vibrant minds that we all at some stage of our lives experience changes in our mental health. My passion is to curate space and pathways whereby we are walking a shared path for the betterment of health. I bring to this new and exciting role, a diverse range of experience panning over 20 years. By trade, I am a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) – having specialised deeply in cardiothoracic Intensive Care at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, Victoria. This included secondments as a Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) in both the Heart and Lung Recipient Transplant Coordinator space for Tasmania, South Australia and Victoria on the recipient end. Also, with Acute Pain Services (APS).

My passion is the exploration and forging of a health care model, which diplomatically encompasses the intersection of modern science with complementary or alternative medicine. For the past decade, I have coordinated clinical trials both in Victoria and Tasmania across the medical and mental health fields. This includes coordination of a phase 1 (first in human) pioneering clinical trial of a targeted immunotherapy, now commonly prescribed for the treatment of B-cell lymphomas whereby modern medicine (chemo & radio) had been ineffective. Additionally, extensive research in the fields of Type II Diabetes- Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM), Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and within the field of mental health

After my very acute experience working in ICU, I was strongly called to engage with the community, having a robust understanding of what I wanted to assist the community to prevent. Working within the General Practice setting closely with patients, in particular running a wellness clinic which focused on a holistic approach to patient needs whilst also encompassing medical. It was from here that my approach was seen as different, dynamic and person centred and my research journey began.

I pride myself on being approachable, compassionate and friendly. I am strong advocate, valuing beneficence, integrity, respect, equality, honesty, transparency and curiosity. I am inspired by nature and mycology, are a music enthusiast whom is dance trained. I very much look forward to meeting you and working together.
