Clinical Psychologist, Kingston, Tasmania
Pippa Cushing provides a holistic approach to mental health care for adults and teenagers at our Kingston Clinic.
Life can feel incredibly challenging at times. My aim is to create a comfortable space for detangling elements of life that feel stuck. I use evidence-based treatments to help older adolescents and adults find understanding, satisfaction, balance and peace within themselves and their relationships. I also enjoy coaching people in techniques to help shift unhelpful mindsets and optimise public performance (e.g., public speaking, job interviews, team leadership). The latter interest was born out of a background in music performance, where I successfully used a combination of psychology and yoga to overcome performance anxiety.
I completed my psychology studies at the University of Tasmania. I have experience across both private and public sectors, including inpatient and community health settings. I also hold diploma level qualifications in yoga teaching and have been a practicing yoga teacher since 2012. My research background is in yoga for trauma recovery.
I hold general registration with clinical endorsement with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). I am also a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
