I am keen to try to help people as individuals to gain self-efficacy and a sense that they can truly determine their own mental health management in a way that empowers them and makes them feel a sense of self-worth and engagement with friends, colleagues, partners, family and society. I don’t much like diagnostic boxes and do not believe in ever using only one modality of treatment: I try to develop a full formulation and comprehensive treatment plan, while embracing shared decision making. I see medication as but one aspect of therapy.
